I am sharing some of the most amazing places I visited for shopping in the city so if any of my readers are planning for shopping in Melbourne, they know where to go.

Shopping Tours

If you are new to the city, I recommend booking your tour with one of many shopping tours operating in the city. This is what I did during my first day in the city. You can visit some of the best places for shopping, learn about the prices, good and fashion available at each place. The tour I was traveling with was excellent as the guides with us provide us with complete details about each shopping destinations we were visiting. Besides finding some great shopping places for my remaining days of stay in Melbourne, the tour also took us to an excellent restaurant for lunch.

Shopping tours are excellent option for people who are looking to explore the shopping scene of Melbourne within a limited time. With lots of options available, tours can take you to some of the best places for shopping that save your time that you may often waste by wandering around and trying to find better places for shopping.

Shopping Places

If you want to explore the city on your own, here is the list of the places that I find excellent for shopping for the latest fashion with very affordable places. After spending my entire first day out with the tour, I went to Bourke Street Mall as almost everyone talks about the place at my hotel when I asked staff about the best places to shop in Melbourne. After visiting the place, I find the reason why the place was so popular among local Melbourne, because of its price. This place is among the cheapest places in Melbourne where you can enjoy amazing discounts and retail prices on almost every product here. You can just walk here for hours as there are hundreds of shops and you may have to walk for some time to find the good you are looking for.

Some other places that are also good in terms of price were Chapel Street, Brunswick Street and Bridge Road. You can walk through the streets with shops at both sides of the streets. You can find almost everything in the streets from latest fashion to antiques. Beside these, some other places where you can find the major brands and latest fashion all over the place are Melbourne Central and Melbourne GPO. If price is not issue and the only thing that interest you in latest fashion and designer labels, visit Melbourne Central and Melbourne GPO. Both places houses high end boutiques and cutting edge fashion goods.

Beside these places, you can also visit some of the other most popular shopping places in Melbourne like Block Arcade, Flinders Lane, Toorak Road, Chadstone Shopping Center, Direct Factory Outlets and Queen Victoria Market.
All in all, Melbourne is a great place for shopping for people like me who are more interested in latest fashion and designer products. If you are in Melbourne for shopping, the city will never disappoint you but you have to learn where you need to go when it comes to cheaper prices or cutting edge fashion.
